Colors

I said earlier that I started the process planning the wedding searching through pictures of flowers. On my first search I found this image from @sylviethecamera and I fell in love immediately. The velvet forest green jacket is divine. The colors of the flowers are rich in dimension. I love everything about it. So, this became our jumping off picture.

In all of the business I have helped start, branding has been one of my favorite parts of the beginning stages. Color stories have become very important to me and I love pulling them together. After finding this image, I created a color board to define our main colors for reference for every decision here after. Seems maybe weird, but it is delightful to me and beautiful to look at. Ok, yes weird. [The center line is taupe for the girls bridesmaid dresses.]

Today my photography assignment was to find the colors on this board in the wild. I decided to be brave and take my camera out for my coffee date with Hannah. For our Saturday morning, we ventured out to a new place to us - Barista Alley. If you haven’t been there, we both really enjoyed everything we tried. She had a London Fog Latte with oat milk and I tried the Cappuccino with almond milk. We both had avocado toast as well. Very delicious. The staff was very friendly and there was a steady flow of customers so we weren’t the only people to enjoy our time and want to come back.

I didn’t find all of the colors, but I will try this assignment again later.
